Tomato Bread with Iberico

It is amazing how much garlic flavor can be imparted by simply rubbing a slice of bread with a fresh cut clove. The act of rubbing a fresh tomato on the bread also adds just the right amount of flavor and juice to the toast. This classic Spanish snack is topped with the country’s famous cured ham.

Serves 6

Cut the loaf of bread into ½-inch slices. Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.

Lightly rub the toasted bread with the garlic clove then rub the tomato, cut side down thoroughly into the bread.
